Sixteen-year-old Alina and her younger sister Nastia are from the city of Mariupol. However, currently, the girls are living with their mother in Dnipro. There their father was buried, he passed away this spring while defending Ukraine and his family.
Their father, Roman, dedicated all his free time to his family. Suddenly the girls had to realize that they could no longer hug their father ever. Alina has inherited a strong character from her father, resiliently facing the tragic news, and understanding the need to support her mother through this loss, according to her mother Olena, she would not have endured this grief without her daughter’s support.
Alina is currently studying online at Mariupol College, specializing in construction and civil engineering. With a passion for drawing, she immediately downloaded a drawing app on the tablet she received through the “Gift Light to Children” project with ПриватБанк . This way, Alina continues to find inspiration in her favorite activity
As for five-year-old Nastia, she was thrilled with the “safety and development” gifts. Now, daily she learns on her tablet using the Edugames app from the “Rozumnyky” company. Additionally, Nastia enjoys the anti-stress toy “pop-it.”
We are glad to see the girls’ smiles in the pictures sent by their mother, Olena. These smiles are thanks to you, Ukrainians, who have joined our charitable initiative, continuing to bring light to orphaned children all over the country.
