For the second time, the Haryn family is fleeing the war
For the second time, the Haryn family is fleeing the war.
The first time “Russian peace” came to their home was in 2014. Then Tetiana, the mother of two young sons, was forced to flee on foot from her native Khrustalny, Luhansk region. On their way, they met residents of local villages who shared water, food, and shelter for the night. Then the family reached Debaltseve.
However, danger awaited Tatiana and her children there as well. The family was hiding from the shelling in the house’s basement when a projectile hit it. Tatiana’s son was under the rubble. Fortunately, the boy was saved, but due to the stress experienced, the child temporarily lost his speech.
Tatiana was worried about the life and future of her children, so she again decided to look for a safe place. The family ended up in the village of Novoselivka, which is next to Kostyantynivka. Good people offered the Haryns a place to live, Tatiana had given birth to two more children there, and life began to improve little by little.
However, the peaceful and calm life didn’t last long. On February 24, 2022, the war overtook them again. Explosions in Kostyantynivka have become a daily reality, and recently Novoselivka also came under fire. Fellow villagers were injured, and the Haryn family’s house was also damaged. The blast wave blew out windows.
The family had to flee again, to look for a safe place again, but where? Tatiana began looking for volunteers who could help with evacuation and housing. That’s how the woman found the Save Ukraine hotline number.
Now Tetiana, her husband, and four children are finally safe in the capital’s Save Ukraine shelter. Here the family will be able to regain strength, start a new life and get back hope for a peaceful future!
And we continue to help Ukrainians in these extremely tough times because nothing is stronger than sincere human kindness and support.
