Visit of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Delegation
The visit of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation, led by its newly elected President Pere Joan Pons Sampietro, to our Center of Hope and Healing was one of the most important meetings of this week.
With our guests, we spoke about what truly matters — Ukrainian children illegally deported by Russia. And about the fact that their return must become not just a topic of discussion, but a shared international mission.
President Pons announced his intention to appoint a Special Envoy on the issue of Ukrainian children, who will focus specifically on their rescue and return. This is a powerful signal — because parliamentarians can play a key role in driving political change and encouraging governments to act decisively.
The delegation also met with teenagers who had survived occupation and deportation. One of the boys even interviewed Mr. Pons — he dreams of telling the world the truth about Russia’s crimes. The President of the OSCE PA encouraged the children not to be afraid and to keep speaking out — because the world must hear their voices.
At the end of the visit, the boys unfolded a large Ukrainian flag and invited the guests to sign it. This will now become a new tradition — a symbol of solidarity and faith in the future.
We are sincerely grateful to Mr. Pons and the entire OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation for their attention to the issue of Ukrainian children, for their openness, and their readiness to act.
Because it is our shared duty — to bring every Ukrainian child home.
