Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Visits Hope and Healing Center
Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk visited our Hope and Healing Center in Hatne. During her visit, she met with three of our beneficiaries — Ukrainian servicemen who had spent three years in captivity. Recently released, they have now finally reunited with their daughters, who had remained on temporarily occupied territories throughout this time.
Every return like this is the result of a complex and coordinated effort involving multiple agencies and organizations.
Thanks to the leadership of Iryna Vereshchuk and the Coordination Council, state and non-governmental actors are working together to address these challenges — from high-level diplomatic negotiations and legislative changes, to document processing and psychological rehabilitation.
These meetings are not only about hearing the personal stories of the families, but also about gaining a deep understanding of the urgent and systemic issues that require swift, coordinated solutions.
We are grateful to Iryna Vereshchuk for her leadership, continuous support, and tireless commitment to this critically important mission for Ukraine: bringing children home and supporting families who have endured occupation, deportation, and captivity.
