The new program early intervention started in Irpin
On August 1, 2024, in Irpin, the Save Ukraine team took an important step to support families with small children. We announced an early intervention program to coincide with Breastfeeding Support Week in picturesque Central Park.
What is this project?
Early intervention is a support program for families with children from birth to 3 years. It helps reveal possible problems in the child’s development in time and provides the necessary assistance. A team of specialists, together with the child and the parents, creates the best conditions for the child’s development. It is critical in the first years of life when the child’s brain is most susceptible to positive changes.
In the relaxed atmosphere of the park, our specialists – a psychologist, a speech therapist, a rehabilitation specialist, and a social worker – talked with families, answered questions, and shared helpful information. While the adults consulted, the children had fun playing with the sensory parachute, and the family photo zone gave everyone pleasant memories of the day.
The results exceeded our expectations:
🔹 120 families received consultations
🔹 52 families left contacts for further cooperation
🔹 10 families have already been taken under the care of our qualified specialists
Families with young children often face challenges that are easier to overcome together, and we believe this program will help many families get the support they need.
Thank you to everyone who joined this important initiative. Every child deserves the best start in life, and every family deserves qualified help and understanding.
P.S: From August 12, our team will begin in-depth training in the methodology of early intervention under the leadership of the Charitable Funf “Institute of Early Intervention” and Anna Kukuruza personally.
