“Positive parenting school” at the Save Ukraine Early Intervention Center
The first pilot course of the “Positive Parenting School” has been completed at the Save Ukraine Early Intervention Center in Irpin. Over the course of two months, eight mothers took part in a support program designed for families with young children living under the constant stress of war.
The course grew out of a simple but urgent need: parents require a safe space where they can speak openly about challenges without judgment, pressure, or guilt. Together with the center’s specialists, Khrystyna Studynska and Yelyzaveta Kravchuk, participants learned to better understand their children while also staying connected to their own needs and emotions.
Over eight weeks, the mothers gained practical tools: how to respond to age-related crises without escalating stress, build healthy attachment, communicate calmly with their children, and recognize early signs of their own exhaustion in order to find resources for recovery.
When a mother feels confident and truly heard, a child senses it immediately. That is why programs like this are a vital part of early intervention: supporting a child’s development begins with supporting the adult who cares for them.
We are proud of every participant in the first course and are already preparing new groups so that even more families can receive this support.
💛 We sincerely thank the Government of the Netherlands and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands for supporting the Save Ukraine Early Intervention Center. Thanks to this partnership, we are creating a space where parents find strength and children are able to grow and develop in safety.
