“Our children are not weapons or shields, they are just little children who have the right to a happy childhood,” the head of Save Ukraine concluded his powerful speech at yesterday’s UN Security Council meeting on the maintenance of peace and security in Ukraine with these words.

Mykola Kuleba spoke on behalf of Ukrainian children who have been deprived of the right to life, the right to childhood, the right to their own identity.As well as those who were forcibly taken to their territory by the russians, deported under the pretext of “evacuation”, forced to sing the russian anthem and forbidden to speak Ukrainian.

It is significant that on Independence Day, the Ukrainian language was heard in the Security Council. And yesterday, 15 members of the UN Security Council listened to Mykola Mykolayovych with respect and understanding. However, our children in the temporarily occupied territories cannot even listen to songs in their native language today.

Each of us must hear the stories of these children. Everyone must do everything possible to bring Ukrainian children home and give them a chance for a happy future in their native land.
