A cozy December at the Hope and Healing Centers
December at our Hope and Healing Centers for elderly and immobile individuals was filled with warmth and festive spirit. The anticipation of the Christmas and New Year holidays gave our residents a chance to create a cozy atmosphere, feel supported, and enjoy the joy of companionship.
In the Irpin center, residents decorated their rooms, shared good cheer, and reminisced about cherished memories. On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a friendly celebration brought everyone together to support one another. Residents also eagerly participated in art therapy sessions, where they painted, shared stories, and enjoyed meaningful conversations. As Christmas approached, chaplain Serhiy Dmytryk visited the Irpin center, leading prayers for Ukraine and discussing faith in a brighter future with the residents.
In Kamyanka-Buzka, December was equally heartwarming and eventful. Volunteers hosted craft workshops, sang songs, and gave gifts to the residents. Children from the local Sunday school brought homemade treats, sang carols, and shared holiday greetings, creating a uniquely festive and joyful atmosphere.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners, Aktion Deutschland Hilft і LandsAid, as well as the volunteers who help us bring joy and comfort to those in need. Together, we create opportunities for new beginnings and restore hope to those affected by war. 💙💛
