A Christmas atmosphere at Save Ukraine’s center for the elderly and people with limited mobility
In the days leading up to the holidays, everyone longs for a bit of warmth — especially those who were evacuated under shelling and are now forced to welcome the New Year far from home.
At Save Ukraine’s center in Irpin, elderly people and individuals with limited mobility are currently staying after being evacuated by our team from some of the most dangerous regions. To bring them comfort and a sense of joy, we prepared something special. The children of our staff handmade festive greeting cards — decorated with Christmas trees, snowflakes, and heartfelt wishes.
Each card became a small ray of care. People held them gently, reread the messages, and placed them by their beds like talismans. Because these were not just pieces of paper—they were reminders that someone remembers them, sees them, and cares.
For many of our residents, this New Year will be the first spent away from their homes. And we want it to be bright and warm nonetheless.

We thank our partners LandsAid e.V. та Aktion Deutschland Hilft! Thanks to your support, we were able to rescue people from the most dangerous areas throughout the year. Today, they are safe, warm, and cared for.
