Restoring the well-being of the Lymanski family
Three members of the Lymanski family from the Donetsk region have disabilities: 64-year-old grandmother Valentyna Mykolaivna, mother Yulia, and her son Yegor. During two years of full-scale war, none of them had the opportunity to receive proper treatment. The situation worsened significantly with the occupation of the native village when they worried all the time about the lack of food and medicine under the constant shelling. The search for essential medical drugs became a big test for the family because one of them supported the life of Mrs. Valentyna, who was suffering from diabetes.
At the same time, Yulia’s children, Darynka and Yegor, were in a challenging mental state due to the war. They had been living under constant stress since 2014, but now their fear was particularly intense.
The family finally decided to evacuate when, in front of Yulia’s eyes, Russian shelling hurt their relatives. Then, the woman began to seek help, but it seemed there were zero chances to leave until the family found the Save Ukraine rescue network contacts. Thus began the rescue of the Lymanski family from the occupation.
The whole family was evacuated to our center in the city of Irpin. Here, they found peace and confidence and received professional medical care for the first time in two years. In addition, we provided the family with psychological and social support. So Darynka and Yegor sensed the joy of participating in holidays and creative events for a long time.
Today, the Lymanski family lives comfortably and safely, receiving constant support from Save Ukraine.
