The story of Andriy's recovery in our Community center
10-year-old Andriy is a boy from a large family. The war forced them to move from the Donetsk region to Kharkiv. However, when full-scale hostilities began near the city on February 24, 2022, Mom decided that they would not go anywhere. Andriy recalls that the most frightening thing for him was the roar of enemy planes flying over the house. However, the boy had nowhere to hide. There was no equipped bomb shelter near the family’s home.
When Andriy got to our Community center, he was anxious and wary. At first, he initially refused to adapt to new environments. After all, the friendly attitude of our specialists and the opportunity to reveal talents contributed to the fact that Andriy began to attend classes at our center.
Striking behavioral changes are hard not to notice today. The boy became friendly and open. Andriy learned to work as a team, and take no offense to others. He is happy to take responsibility. We are proud of Andriy’s progress and glad to be able to help him restore his faith in himself!
