What do children who return from deportation feel?
The memories of children who have survived deportation are often filled with anxiety and fear. These emotions weigh heavily on them, making it difficult to move forward. On top of this emotional burden, they face physical challenges: disrupted sleep, health issues, and a pervasive feeling that their world has fallen apart.
To help these children heal, psychologists from Save Ukraine create moments where they can once again feel warmth and the comfort of home.
In our art therapy sessions, children don’t just craft or draw — they express emotions that words cannot convey through color, shapes, and movement. Each ceramic star or bird they make with their hands is a small but meaningful step toward healing.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who supports this vital mission. Together, we can help restore the lost childhood.
