We help adults cope with stress and restore inner balance
For adults looking for ways to overcome complex emotions and the opportunity to better deal with stressful situations, an educational and practical group ‘Basics of Psychological Health’ works in one of our “Hope and Healing” centers.
In classes, our psychologists explain in simple language what stress is, how it affects our well-being, and how to respond to stressful events. Self-help and self-regulation practices complement theoretical knowledge. For example, the Jacobson relaxation technique (the essence of consistent tension and relaxation of certain muscle groups), various mindfulness techniques (the practice of awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, and experiences), etc., are mastered in the training program. These techniques help participants learn to manage anxiety, reduce stress, and “ground” themselves in the present moment.
During the classes, the participants already feel relaxation in the body, the disappearance of tension, and mood improvement. Then, they use this knowledge in everyday life and experience positive changes: sleep improves, and emotional condition stabilizes.
With each meeting, more and more participants join the group. Someone comes on the recommendation of friends, someone is interested for the first time. After all, everyone understands the importance of psychological health, especially in difficult times.
By creating a safe space for learning healthy practices, we help adults and children cope with stress. After all, when parents feel inner balance, their children also gain stability and optimism.
