We fulfilled children’s dreams on Saint Nicholas Day!

Throughout the month, the wards of our “Hope and Healing” center in Gatne placed letters with their dearest dreams into the wish box. The center’s leaders conceived this wonderful idea, aimed to restore joy and belief in miracles to children who had to leave their homes.

To make these dreams come true, real magicians stepped in: the head of the Gatne community and his wife. Like true helpers of Saint Nicholas, they personally selected and wrapped each child’s gift with heartfelt wishes.

On December 6, at the festive event, the dreams of our 18 wards came true! With joyful eyes, the children finally unwrapped the gifts they had only dreamed of, including toys, decorations, various accessories, a sketchbook, a tablet, invitations to dream events, and more. Additionally, the children received treats.

Of course, the celebration wasn’t ending there. Afterward, the children enjoyed a vibrant soap bubble show, immersing themselves in a fairytale atmosphere filled with fun and laughter.

The Save Ukraine team expresses gratitude to the head of the Gatne community and the center’s director, Yulia Sydorenko, for this extraordinary celebration for the children, bringing them back to a carefree and happy childhood!
