Training on child rights protection for day center Teams
Children suffer the most during the war, so we continuously improve our approaches to their protection and support.
The Save Ukraine team from our Community centers participated in an intensive three-day training on child rights protection, combating gender-based violence, and psychosocial support. This training, organized as part of the Safe Access to Fair and Inclusive Education in Ukraine project, is funded by the European Union and implemented by Save Ukraine with co-funding from World Vision.
The training program covered essential aspects of working with children in wartime conditions. Specialists from educational centers learned to promptly identify cases of sexual violence and provide necessary assistance to children in need of protection and support. Emotional stabilization, methods of psychological first aid, and effective communication got special attention. These skills will help specialists not only better understand children’s psychology but also respond quickly to challenging situations.
An essential part of the training included practical exercises and discussions of real-life cases from the experiences of our day center specialists. Upon completion, each participant received a certificate and specific tools and insights for their daily work.
