The voices of rescued children help fight for those who are still trapped
Vlad Rudenko and Kseniia Koldin are Ukrainian children who were rescued from Russian occupation. Recently, they met in person with U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal.
Vlad and Kseniia shared how Russia kidnaps Ukrainian children, forcibly separates families, sends brothers and sisters to different foster families, impose them a new identity, and prepares them for militarization. These stories deeply impressed the senator.
After the meeting, Senator Blumenthal once again emphasized that Americans must know the truth about how Russia is trying to erase Ukrainian identity and turn our children into soldiers of Putin’s regime.
Today, the rescued children have become a voice for the 1.6 million Ukrainian children who are still at risk. And thanks to people like Senators Richard Blumenthal and Lindsey Graham, the voice of Ukrainian children is being heard in the United States.
We must bring all our children back home.
