The Russians fired 12 missiles
The Russians fired 12 missiles on the street where Olena Fedorivna has been living with her 11-year-old grandson, suffering from cerebral palsy, for whom she takes care and registered guardianship.
The horrors of that night had begun at 11:00 p.m. when the explosions woke up their entire family. Then they had time to go down to the shelter, which they had specially equipped in their cellar with everything they needed: supplies of drinking water, food, blankets, and pillows. They have been there for about an hour until it got quieter outside. The family had returned to the house, but at 4:00 a.m. they had to go to the shelter again because the Russians again shelled the village of Belyy Kolodyaz of the Vovchan community of the Chuguyiv district. And even then they were waiting for a massive attack until morning.
That day, Olena Fedorivna finally decided to evacuate to a safer place. She found the Save Ukraine hotline phone number and contacted our team. Our volunteers immediately responded to the call and took the whole family to our Kharkiv shelter, where there is everything necessary for their normal, comfortable life.
Children with disabilities and children with reduced mobility are one of the most vulnerable categories of our country’s population. They are completely helpless in the face of war, so their lives are fully dependent on the decisions people responsible for them.
We urge parents and relatives not to delay and take their children away from the frontline areas. Be sure that the Save Ukraine team won’t only evacuate your family from danger but will also do everything possible to restore your lives in safety!
