The "Hope and Recovery" center had guests, our British friends visited us
The “Hope and Recovery” center in Kyiv had guests, our British friends visited us: the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain, James Cleverley, and Mrs. Melinda Simmons, the Ambassador of Great Britain to Ukraine. They’ve become interested in the activities of our foundation and decided to personally see how “Save Ukraine” works.
The guests were especially interested in the work of our team on the return home of Ukrainian children deported by Russia. We talked about some features of the organization and implementation of 7 rescue missions due to which we managed to return 118 children. We also have told about the specifics of children’s rehabilitation process after their return.
James Cleverly and Mrs. Melinda Simmons in the center got talked with the children whom our team returned after deportation from the Russian Federation and listened to their stories of “camp vacation” in Russia. The children told about the Russian threats and manipulations, who had been trying to destroy Ukrainian identity.
Mr. Cleverly thanked the children for their openness and courage because it was very important for him to hear these stories to pass them on to society. The British minister expressed his desire to draw the attention of international partners to the problem of the deportation of Ukrainian children so that the whole world would make maximum efforts to return every Ukrainian child home, as well as to prevent their further kidnapping.
As a reminder of this day, our team presented James Cleverly and Lady Melinda Simmons with embroidery and Ukrainian flags, and the children gave as gifts their own drawings created during art therapy classes.
Thank our guests from Great Britain for such significant support!
