The helpless child spent a long time in the terrible conditions of the front-line region
11-year-old Pavlo with a disability was 9 kilometers from the front line with the Russians when Save Ukraine rescuers came to take the boy from the village of Shcherbynivka in Donetsk region.
Pasha cannot speak, dress himself, eat and in general at least somehow take care of himself. The helpless child spent a long time in the terrible conditions of the front-line region: there are frequent shots and explosions, and in Pavlo’s house there are constant interruptions in the water supply.
In addition, at the time of the rescue, the boy’s mother was in the hospital with gangrene, so Pasha survived together with his father.
Our rescuers evacuated the child first to the Luhansk hub, and then to a hospital in Dnipro, where Pavlik was provided with high-quality medical and psychological care. Later, we also evacuated the boy’s parents and reunited the family in safety.
