The forced evacuation of children
The forced evacuation of children has been announced in 9 more settlements in the Donetsk region. These are Yampil, Zarichne, Torske, Opixyvatka, Nikonorivka, Malynyvka, Tikhonivka, Vasyutynske, and Rai-Olexandrivka, which are located near the war zone. There are currently 130 children who need to be taken to a safe place together with adult representatives.
The Save Ukraine team is actively involved in rescuing children and works together with the local police. It is especially difficult to work now in the Kupyansk direction because our volunteers are constantly risking their lives due to active hostilities. We are also continuing to evacuate people from a 5-kilometer zone from the border in Sumy Oblast, and in Sumy, we have finished setting up a medical center for evacuated people.
Besides, this week we established cooperation with representatives of territorial communities of the Zaporizhzhya region, where people also need help in moving to safe places. Therefore, the evacuation of people from the occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, and Kharkiv continues.
If you or your relatives or friends need help with evacuation, call the all-Ukrainian hotline of the rescue network Save Ukraine at 0 800 333 129, which operates with the support of USAID Ukraine.
