Save Ukraine wards went on an excursion to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra
Save Ukraine wards went on an excursion to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
The bees of our “Hope and Healing” center tirelessly ensure that young Ukrainians who have suffered from the war are regularly charged with bright impressions: they hold groups for children, take them on excursions and performances, and invite various cultural and health personalities to the center.
This time, thanks to magicians Hanna Fox Horkun, Svitlana Kotliarevska, and Maxym Ostapenko, children had the opportunity to visit one of the most remarkable monuments of our country’s history for free. According to the emotional story of the tour guide, the children were immersed in the ancient times of Kievan Rus, when the Kyiv shrine was born. Getting to know the Assumption Cathedral and its difficult fate was a great discovery for the children.
Our friends from the Lavra also made a wonderful gift for little Ukrainians – they allowed them to climb the Lavra bell tower! Here, the children learned about the unbreakable chimes of the tower, which have been working continuously for several centuries. Our wards were especially impressed by the breathtaking view from the bell tower to the hills of Kyiv and the Dnipro River. So no one was left without good photos.
We are grateful to the employees of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve for a fantastic excursion! Children received a huge amount of unforgettable impressions and new knowledge.
