The “Confident Step” Program Is Now Running in Irpin
The specialists of the Early Intervention program have completed the course Caregiver Skills Training for Families of Children with Developmental Delays or Disorders and received facilitator certificates. And they immediately got to work.
A new Confident Step group has already launched at the Save Ukraine center in Irpin. This is the Caregiver Skills Training program developed by the World Health Organization for families raising children from birth to 4 years old with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, speech delays, or sensory differences.
The course includes 9 consecutive practical sessions over 3–4 months, during which parents learn how to strengthen interaction with their child and support communication skills. The training takes place through role-play exercises, real-life examples, group discussions, and ongoing support between sessions. Parents participating in the program say this is exactly the kind of space they had been missing — a place where they can speak openly, receive support, and realize they are not alone.
