Save Ukraine Charity Fund has rescued 6 children from the occupation, three of them half-orphans
Our team has helped three Ukrainian families leave the temporarily occupied territories this weekend. The father of a large family died in front of his three children from a Russian shell that hit the family’s yard. The children still can’t believe that Dad is gone.
Children from another family witnessed Russian soldiers beating and torturing their father several times. The youngest son of the family even stopped talking after what he saw. But it did not end with the beatings: the Russians regularly threatened the children directly. They told them that they would kill their father. Their mother would be forced to serve the Russian military, and they would go to a boarding school. It was impossible to live like this.
Fortunately, these families found our contacts and asked for help. They are safe now. Both adults and children are unbelievably happy that they are finally under the Ukrainian flag.
Many thanks to the Humanity Charity Foundation and other partners of Save Ukraine, whose help was critical for the successful rescue of these children from the Russian occupation.
