Save Ukraine at the Clinton Global Initiative: new steps to save Ukrainian children
This week, Mykola Kuleba, the head of Save Ukraine, participated in the annual Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) summit, held since 2005 at the initiative of the 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton. CGI is a significant international platform for dialogue between governments, businesses, and civil society leaders to discuss global challenges.
This year’s summit, attended by U.S. President Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Prince Harry, and our great friend José Andrés, once again brought attention to the critical mission of saving Ukrainian children affected by the war.
With its return in 2022 after a six-year hiatus, CGI is developing new ways to assist Ukraine. In particular, through the CGI Ukraine Action Network—a collaboration initiated by Ukraine’s First Lady, Olena Zelenska, and Secretary Hillary Clinton.
Mykola Kuleba, along with representatives of the U.S. political, civic, and cultural communities, joined discussions on the forced displacement of Ukrainian children, their indoctrination, and assimilation. The focus was on developing successful cooperation to address these challenges.
We are grateful to CGI and The Clinton Foundation for the opportunity to expand our efforts. It is crucial for preserving Ukraine, protecting its children, and securing our shared future.
