The chief legal officer of Save Ukraine, Myroslava Kharchenko, spoke at the Kyiv Youth Security Forum, “GEN-W: A Generation at War in Ukraine.” In her address, she emphasized that the invaders want not just Ukrainian children — they want all Ukrainian youth, aiming to destroy our nation. Today, the methods of Russia have become even more insidious: re-education efforts are increasingly aggressive and calculated. Miroslava called for the establishment of new institutions that can effectively protect and support children subjected to forced deportation.

The forum also featured Kseniia Koldin and Anastasiia Motychak, who were deported but could return home thanks to the efforts of Save Ukraine. The young women shared their experiences of forced relocation. They described Russia’s attempts to “re-educate” them by stripping them of their native language and identity. They are now safely back home, yet they urge us not to forget those still under Russian control.
