Save Ukraine’s rescue team completes training to save lives more effectively
Rescuing people from danger zones is one of the most difficult and demanding tasks during war. It involves constant risk, immense responsibility, and enormous emotional pressure. Since the very first days of the full-scale invasion, our team has been working tirelessly — evacuating children, families, the elderly, and people with limited mobility. And every day, we prove: we are true professionals in what we do.
To stay strong and continue helping those who need us, we consistently invest in building our resilience and professional capacity. Last Wednesday, our rescue coordinators gathered in Kyiv for a special training session focused on preventing emotional burnout and restoring personal resources.
For the first time since the war began, we were able to meet in one place to share common challenges and learn effective techniques for self-care and support — both for everyday tasks and in crisis situations. The training covered topics such as the causes of professional burnout, self-assessment techniques, time management, psychological self-help, and methods for balancing mental and physical well-being. The knowledge and skills we gained are already helping us better take care of ourselves — so we can continue to take care of others.
Caring for our team is key to delivering effective aid to those facing the most difficult circumstances.
Special thanks to our donors Lands Aid and Aktion Deutschland Hilft for their continued support in helping victims of war — and for making this training possible.
