The PEINSTRUMENTS project — musical instruments from Russian military scrap, created on the initiative of @arthelps_, won the prestigious WEBBY AWARD — ‘Oscar of the Internet’.

The goal of the project is to give voice and stage to traumatized children and youth of Ukraine so that the world hears their stories. After all, many people have already become “used” to the horrors of war, and their willingness to assist has decreased. The project organizers sought to draw attention to the situation in which Ukrainians found themselves.

The children of Save Ukraine those rescued from Russia and the occupation became part of a video for the composition played on RESINSTRUMENTS. These instruments were heard not only in Europe and the USA but also Korea and Brazil, demonstrating the power of the Ukrainian spirit capable of turning weapons into art.

The WEBBY AWARD recognition is a victory for children and young people who took military scrap and created music. They approached their situation creatively to stand up and get heard.
