Outdoor art therapy for Teenagers
An unusual art therapy session, Forest of our Resilience, was held at the Hope and Healing Center in Hatne. Teenagers had a chance to restore their internal resources outdoors.
In the park, children explored the connection with their own I, character, and strengths. They also created collages and images of trees using natural materials: flowers, leaves, and branches. Such activity is an excellent foundation for stabilizing the nervous system, developing attention and imagination, and getting pleasure from the creative process. It is easier for children to unite, normalize relationships, and improve their psycho-emotional state. Union with nature heals, comforts, restores internal resources, and develops creativity. Outdoor art therapy classes are one of the most effective recovery methods for war trauma survivors.
