Neurological exercises for enhancing speech development in displaced children
In our Community Centers, the Save Ukraine team is committed to supporting the education, mental health, and physical development of children during these challenging times of war. Neurofeedback is a key element in this endeavor.
Neurofeedback for children involves psychological techniques that strengthen connections between brain hemispheres, enhancing cognitive abilities, memory, and attention. It also aids in the development of speech, reading, and writing skills. These methods are instrumental in fostering children’s emotional and social growth, often taking place in pair settings or with a teacher’s guidance.
The accompanying video shows our young participants engaging in a neurofeedback exercise designed to improve their speech skills. This is particularly vital at present, as many young Ukrainians have experienced speech impairments following exposure to explosions and shelling.
The war has inflicted psychological traumas on numerous children, affecting their learning abilities and social interactions. Nevertheless, we are steadfast in our belief that, by working together, we can surmount these obstacles and ensure that our children grow up to be happy, healthy Ukrainians.
