Mykola Kuleba met with Canada’s Minister
As part of a working visit to Canada, the head of Save Ukraine, Mykola Kuleba, met with Canada’s Minister of International Development, Ahmed Hussen. Olha Radchenko, Chief of Staff of Minister Hussen’s Office, and Diana Simhovych, Deputy Director of the Ukrainian office, attended the meeting.
Ukrainian children are facing severe hardships due to the war, which has stripped them of their childhood, homes, and, in many cases, even their families. Thousands of children have been forcibly taken to russia or temporarily occupied territories. Bringing them back to Ukraine is a challenging task that requires strong international support. Today, Canada plays a crucial role in our joint efforts to return, rehabilitate, and integrate these children.
The participants discussed Minister Hussen’s summer visit to our pilot community in Hatne and specific directions for Canada’s continued support. The Minister repeatedly expressed admiration for the resilience of the Ukrainian people, who continue to fight and maintain hope even in the face of war. Ahmed Hussen emphasized the importance of supporting Ukraine’s recovery now and in the future, particularly in the return, restoration, and reintegration of Ukrainian children.
We sincerely thank Canada and Minister Hussen for their meaningful assistance and solidarity. Every step toward bringing Ukrainian children home brings us closer to Ukraine’s recovery.
