Mental Health Day
Today is Mental Health Day. However, the war in Ukraine is a serious stressor that negatively affects everyone’s psychological state. Every day, we have to go through new portions of negative information, overcome life challenges and calm our emotional swings. However, it is very important to know how to maintain your peace of mind and well-being in this difficult time.
We share with you the 5 most important tips:
1️⃣ Keep track of your thoughts and emotions. Don’t let yourself get caught up in negative thoughts and feelings. If you experience anxiety, fear, or other negative feelings, try to distract yourself with something positive.2️⃣ Follow a daily routine. Try to sleep at least 7-8 hours a day, eat on schedule, and do sports or other physical activities. A healthy lifestyle always helps you to cope with stress better.3️⃣ Find ways to relax during or at the end of the day. This can be meditation, yoga, walking in the fresh air, reading, music, or any other activity that brings you pleasure and does not affect you negatively.4️⃣ Do not refuse help. If you feel that you cannot cope with your emotions on your own, seek help from a psychologist or psychotherapist. Or just tell your closest people about your feelings. Never keep your emotions bottled up.5️⃣ Keep in touch with your loved ones. Talk to them about what is happening, discuss simple everyday things.
In addition, you should:🔷 Limit the consumption of alcohol and caffeine, which increase stress.🔷 Avoid watching the news continuously, as this can cause anxiety and panic.🔷Find ways to help others, such as volunteering or donating. This will help you feel useful and supported.
Remember that you are not alone. In this difficult time, we are all together, and together we can overcome any difficulties. Take care of yourself and your mental health!
