Learning to counter violence
On September 9, staff from the Save Ukraine Community Center and Early Intervention Center participated in a meeting on the topic “Violence: Types and Counteraction.” Social worker Nataliia Riabchenko from the Rokada Charitable Foundation explained key concepts such as “sex” and “gender” to the participants, debunking myths and stereotypes about women and men.
Participants devoted considerable time to the types of violence and methods to counteract it. They knew how to act in critical situations and where to seek help. The training had an interactive discussion form, where everyone got a chance to share their thoughts and receive feedback.
Such meetings are crucial for our team, as they help us better understand those we assist, enabling us to provide more effective support.
