“…I gathered my will into a fist…. and I made a firm promise to myself that I would return home only with my brother…”
These are the words of Ksenia, who was separated from her only family member, her 12-year-old brother Serhiy, by the full-scale war.
Ksenia and Serhiy, orphaned before the full-scale invasion, faced potential permanent separation. After February 24, 2022, they lived under occupation. Ksenia attended a technical school, while her brother went to a Russian camp, ending up in a Russian foster family, isolated him from his sister. Ksenia, determined to reunite with her family, sought help from Save Ukraine.
Today, the kids are secure. Sergiy thrives in a Ukrainian foster family, while Ksenia, an ambassador for Ukrainian children, works with our foundation. We’ve restored hope, reignited dreams, and provided a chance for a happy future.
Now, you can support the healing and rebuilding of young lives, offering other children the opportunity for a joyful Christmas in Ukraine.
