Multi-times world champion Klitschko fulfilled the dream rescued Vlad Rudenko. When the legendary boxer found out that Vlad was also involved in this sport and was about to return after the occupation with forced training at the military naval academy, he in person met the boy and gave him a gift of signed boxing gloves.

To meet and talk with talented Ukrainian boxers is what Vlad dreamed of, and he secretly shared it with us. For a boy this is not just a hobby, but his lifetime’s passion. After all, even during the occupation, he didn’t break off training in the hall and his favored boxing, thanks to which he was able to withstand the pressure that the representatives of the Russian military regime put on him.

Volodymyr Klitschko said he was inspired by the boy’s unbreakable, who didn’t give up and has been remaining a true Ukrainian until the end and not accepting Russian citizenship.

Fascinating that Vlad didn’t even know that the world boxing legend helped him return from the occupied territories to his native, liberated Kherson. Volodymyr Klitschko’s organization We Are All Ukrainians is our permanent partner, which financially supports the complex special operation for the return of Ukrainian children, including Vlad Rudenko.

Looking into the eyes of a 17-year-old boy, Volodymyr drew an analogy from sports experience, when they face opponents in the same way, and said: “The eyes are still children’s, but it is clear that they have experienced such pressure that many adults wouldn’t handle.”
