"Iron shift" ended
“Iron shift” ended!
Save Ukraine wards, whom we rescued from occupation and deportation, have just returned from a sports and patriotic camp, where they underwent an influential system of training for life, study, and work in wartime conditions.
During the two-week “shift”, the participants visited 8 beautiful cities in Ukraine, and each had a rich program for young Ukrainians. In the city of Khmelnyk, the children visited an agricultural excursion on an elevator, received training in military tactics, and had a great time with fun starts in the pool. In Ivano-Frankivsk – they were learning how to be leaders during the training, watched the Ukrainian film “Dovbush” in the cinema, and learned acting skills. In the lovely Uzhgorod, participants were treated to a local history quest with elements of orienteering and then had a meeting with the FC “Mynai” team!
In addition, our wards had time to attend horse riding, pottery, and English classes, as well as training with paramedics, eco-education at the “Forest School” and visit a bear shelter. Each day of the camp was full of valuable experience and incredible impressions, so the children returned absolutely delighted with the “Iron Shift”.
We would like to remind you that “Iron Shift” is a social and educational project of Ukrzaliznytsia and Save Ukraine, which was implemented thanks to our American friend and partner Howard Buffett. The goal of the project is to prepare children and teenagers for future adult life, in which they will rebuild a free, strong and delighted Ukraine.
We thank our partners for this significant “iron” experience for children and for joining work that will benefit the whole country!
