Acting Together for Children: Global Faith Leaders at Save Ukraine
Last week, our Hope and Healing Center welcomed partners and friends from the United States and Germany. Among them were:
🔹 Executive Pastor Dr. John Bodin and Pastor Victor Herrera visited our center to understand post-occupation needs of children and families. Discussions focused on rehabilitation, foster family support, and opportunities for joint humanitarian initiatives.
🔹 Anna Gideon, Council of Evangelical Churches in Germany, met with our team and heard Irina’s testimony about religious persecution under temporary occupation. Together, we explored how churches can provide practical assistance to children and families in crisis.
🔹 Andriy Vaskovych, Head of Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe Ukraine, toured our facilities and addressed the importance of safety and sustainable services for children with disabilities and families under stress. We value DKH’s partnership in delivering lasting support.
🔹 Elijah Brown, Baptist community leader (USA), engaged with center residents, prayed for children affected by war, and emphasized the role of international advocacy in defending their rights.
During their visit, they met our teams and witnessed how Save Ukraine restores dignity and safety for children and families who endured occupation. One of the most powerful moments was listening to residents who survived religious persecution and interrogation while protecting children in hiding.
🤝 Their prayers, advocacy, and commitment to share the truth globally strengthen our joint mission: bringing Ukrainian children back to safety and ensuring their long-term recovery.
We are grateful for these partnerships that demonstrate how faith-based communities worldwide can deliver practical solutions for children at risk.
👉 Partner with us to build resilience and provide measurable impact for Ukraine’s future generations.
