Fort Home Project 2nd Anniversary
Today, we celebrate a special occasion — the second Anniversary of the Fort Home project. It is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the realization of our vision and to share our achievements.
Fort Home is about establishing modular houses as temporary shelters for those who have lost their homes due to the war. Over the past two years, we have constructed 127 such modules. Each unit is equipped with everything needed for five people to live comfortably. During this time, we haven’t just provided a roof over the heads of 117 families who lost their homes; we’ve helped them regain a sense of home and stability.
Fort Home is more than just housing; it’s a comprehensive support system. Thanks to this initiative, within the first 3-6 months of living in these units, families can adapt, find work, and secure permanent housing. In addition, we provide monthly humanitarian and medical assistance. We create centers and services where people receive food, education, family services, and psychological support.
The results of our work speak for themselves:
🔹 Our programs have reached nearly 850 people and over 200 families.
🔹 79% of participants remain in their new communities, find jobs, and receive housing assistance from local councils.
🔹 5% move in with relatives within Ukraine.
🔹 15% go abroad through partner programs or to stay with relatives.
We are also proud that our houses are partly made from eco-friendly materials. It is not only about caring for the environment but also about creating a more comfortable living space.
Every house we establish is a story of hope. Every family we support represents a future that we are building together. We thank The Howard G. Buffett Foundation and, personally, Mr. Howard Buffett, All Hands And Hearts, as well as Pioneer Oil and everyone who has joined the Fort Home project over these two years. Your support is invaluable. Together, we have not just built walls. We restored lives for hundreds of families and brought hope to those who need it most.
