“My daughter started to speak after the sessions.” — Save Ukraine opens the first Early Intervention center in Irpin
When little Sofiia said her first word — “mama” — her mother Olena cried.
For almost three years, Sofiia barely spoke. But after sessions with specialists from our Early Intervention program, she took her first step toward communicating with the world.
For some, it’s just a word. For Olena, it’s a miracle.
Stories like this show why early support matters so deeply.
That’s why today, in Irpin, we opened our first Early Intervention Center — a space where children receive professional care and parents find understanding and hope.
Irpin is a city that has lived through occupation, destruction, and evacuation — and yet, it is being reborn.
Now, families with young children have access to a place designed to help them grow, heal, and thrive from the very beginning.
The new Center brings together psychologists, speech therapists, physical therapists, and early development specialists.
They help children with developmental delays take their first steps, speak their first words, and learn to interact with others. Parents receive tools to support their children at home, while expectant mothers attend trainings and consultations to prepare confidently for life with their baby.
This center became possible thanks to the joint support of our partners: the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine, Daniel J. Kobasic Foundation, Rossmann, the Save Ukraine team, and the Irpin community.
“We are not just opening a new center — we are opening doors to the future. Every child deserves love, care, and development from their very first days,”
— said Mykola Kuleba, Founder and CEO of Save Ukraine.
Together, we are building a Ukraine where every child is wanted, loved, and protected.
