Clean water is now available at Save Ukraine’s centers in Irpin and Hatne
Families living in Save Ukraine’s Hope and Healing Centers, as well as in modular housing for displaced families in Irpin and Hatne (Kyiv region), now have reliable access to safe drinking water.
This became possible thanks to our partners at Kolo Nordic, who provided modern water filtration systems developed by Aquaporin. Previously, tap water in these locations was not safe for consumption. Today, families can confidently use clean water for everyday needs: cooking, making tea, and simply drinking a glass of water without fear.
At a time when Russia continues to target Ukraine’s energy and civilian infrastructure, deliberately attempting to make winter harsher for civilians, such support is not just helpful — it is essential. For families who lost their homes and livelihoods due to the war and are rebuilding their lives from scratch, access to clean water is as fundamental as electricity or heating.
We see every day how restored living conditions help families regain a sense of stability. This is a crucial part of recovery. When basic needs are met, both children and adults have the capacity to adapt, heal, and begin rebuilding their future in a new place.
We sincerely thank Kolo Nordic and Aquaporin for their partnership and for solutions that deliver tangible, life-changing impact — restoring dignity, safety, and everyday normalcy to families affected by war.
