Caring for Those Who Care: Save Ukraine Team at a Burnout Prevention Workshop
At Save Ukraine, we know that caring for others begins with caring for ourselves.
Our psychologists, case managers, and social workers are often the first to meet people rescued from occupation, deportation, or frontline zones. They listen, support, and help rebuild lives — carrying the emotional weight of other people’s trauma every day.
This work is deeply meaningful, but it’s also exhausting. And when “I don’t feel like doing anything” starts to sound familiar, it’s not laziness — it’s a sign of emotional burnout.
To prevent that, our team took part in a restorative workshop on burnout prevention, held as part of the project “Comprehensive Psychological Assistance for Children and Families Affected by the War.”
During the session, participants learned about the stages of burnout, assessed their own emotional resources, and practiced self-care tools to maintain internal balance — so they can continue supporting others with strength and empathy.
📍 This project is implemented with the support of KSE Foundation — the charitable foundation of the Kyiv School of Economics.
