Caring for the health of our beneficiaries
Children in conflict zones and occupied areas lack access to adequate medical services. That’s why one of Save Ukraine’s top priorities today is ensuring access to quality medical care for internally displaced individuals in our centers, many of whom are children with special needs.
In collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Ukraine, we organized a series of medical examinations for children with disabilities who were evacuated from frontline and occupied areas. Following these evaluations, each child received an individualized treatment plan. To date, 20 children have completed medical examinations and rehabilitation courses are now being prepared for them.
These medical check-ups are an essential part of our recovery project, including psychological support, social adaptation, and educational assistance. Children who have endured the horrors of war need not only shelter and clothing but also professional medical and psychological support. Only healthy children and families can build a strong and prosperous Ukraine.
We are grateful to our partners, whose support makes this path to recovery possible. A strong child means a strong family and a strong family means a strong Ukraine.
