Save Ukraine had the honor of hosting the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator Penny Wong. Since the very beginning of the war, Australia has stood with Ukraine, and now it is helping to create a world where children grow up in love and safety.

Together, we discussed the vital importance of supporting families rescued by Save Ukraine for the future of our country. The assistance of international partners in rehabilitating and reintegrating these families is critical to Ukraine’s recovery and growth.

We are deeply grateful to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australian Embassy to Ukraine for launching the Sure Start program to support families with children under 5 years old. This initiative provides young children with opportunities for healthy development and equips parents with the tools to create safe and loving environments.

Thanks to the support of the Australian Embassy, we are beginning to implement this program in Ukraine, including equipping our centers with essential resources.

Minister Wong also met with a family rescued from occupied territories and attended an art therapy workshop for children currently living at our center.
