Assistance in overcoming educational losses: the experience of parents from Irpin
How can we help children regain their motivation to learn and restore their psychological well-being during the war?
On September 19, the Irpin Community Center of Save Ukraine hosted a roundtable for parents whose children are participating in a program to overcome educational losses in the Ukrainian language and mathematics. This program has been running in the city for several months, yielding excellent results. Teachers working with children in our centers were also present at the event.
Parents noted that their children’s participation in the project helped improve their academic performance and made them emotionally more resilient and communicative. A key focus is placed on psychosocial support, as a child who experiences emotional trauma cannot learn effectively. It is especially inspiring how, during the lessons, children completely forget about their phones and become fully immersed in interactive learning. They regain confidence in themselves and find the motivation to learn again. 🌟
The second phase of the project will be completed by the end of September, and the third group will start in October.
If your child needs academic and psychological assistance, join the “Safe Access to Education” program.
We invite all children aged 6 to 17 🧒👧.
We thank the World Vision team for organizing and moderating the event. Save Ukraine implements the “Safe Access to Fair and Inclusive Education” project with funding from the European Union and support from World Vision.
