Art therapy: a path to peace and stability
Losing one’s home is a devastating experience at any age. However, it is excruciating for elderly individuals, who have already left much of their lives behind. That’s why it is so crucial to provide them with warmth and care.
In our Hope and Healing Centers for elderly and immobile individuals, our psychologists focus on fostering a sense of safety and stability. One of the most effective tools in achieving this is art therapy. For those who have lost everything later, art becomes a way to rediscover themselves. Activities like drawing, sculpting, and creating crafts with their hands offer a means to express the deep, painful emotions for which words often fail. Our participants find peace and regain control over their emotional well-being through the creative process.
