A quiet February for the elderly at our centers
February at our “Hope and Healing” Centers is a month of warmth, care, and change. Despite last month’s freezing temperatures, our centers for elderly and low-mobility people remained warm and cozy. Some took their first steps toward a new life, some smiled for the first time in a long while, and others found peace through creativity.
We tell you how our team helps elderly and low-mobility people get back to life 💙
🔹 Regular art therapy sessions at the Irpin center help our beneficiaries cope with stress, find balance, and feel more confident.
🔹 Music, painting, and proper breathing techniques are powerful tools for managing stress. The residents of the Kamianske-Buzka center experienced this firsthand during group psychological consultations.
🔹 Finding safe housing is one of our team’s top priorities. In February, several of our beneficiaries finally secured a home. Our center staff not only helped them move but continue to support them as they start this new chapter.
🔹 Three more beneficiaries finally received much-needed medical care. Two underwent successful eye surgeries, while another woman received a hearing aid—and now she can hear.
🔹 No matter how tough and cold this February was, our residents started each morning with exercise, supported one another, and found joy in the little things. Because together, any challenge is easier to overcome!
We don’t just provide essentials—we restore faith in the future. And each story like this is our shared victory.
Huge thanks to our partners Aktion Deutschland Hilft and LandsAid for supporting this mission!
