This Sunday, November 19, CBS’s 60 Minutes will air a story about Save Ukraine’s efforts to return children abducted by russia. The broadcast will start at 20:00 EST.

We are very pleased to have the opportunity to be heard by the American public. And we hope that this story will help the global community raise awareness and understanding of the abduction of our children and the traumatic experience they go through.

The russians have illegally taken thousands of young Ukrainians to their territory, and thousands more remain under occupation. However, no one knows for sure the real number of such children. The children we have managed to return from the temporarily occupied territories and the russia have consistently reported the systematic destruction of their Ukrainian identity through forced russification and the lack of any rights. Many children also reported physical, sexual and emotional trauma.

Save Ukraine has returned 211 children to Ukraine. And our mission remains unchanged – we continue to save children from war, reunite them with their families and restore their well-being in Ukraine.
