6 more kids & teenagers rescued from occupation and russia last week
Last week, the Save Ukraine team rescued 6 children and teenagers from occupation. This became possible thanks to the support of partners within the President of Ukraine’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative. Each of them endured pressure, threats, and attempts to erase their identity, but today these children are finally safe.
Among those rescued:
🔹 18-year-old Maryna, whose family was forced by the war to leave their hometown and move to russia. At a russian school, she skipped propaganda classes and secretly read Ukrainian news instead.
🔹 15-year-old Solomiia, whose home was repeatedly raided by the occupiers. At one point, they arrested her mother and threatened to strip her of parental rights. Solomiia had to hide the fact that she could sing beautifully so the occupiers would not force her to perform at their patriotic events.
🔹 17-year-old Serhii, who witnessed occupiers beating and abusing people from his village. He firmly refused to study in a russian school, and to avoid forced mobilization, he chose to leave before turning eighteen.
For these children, and three others, occupation is now in the past. They are currently recovering at our Hope and Healing Centers, where they receive comprehensive psychological support, help with documents, so they can start over with a clean slate.
Thousands of young Ukrainians still remain trapped in a system that is destroying their futures. We have no right to stop until we bring them all home.
🙏 We are grateful to our partners Wladimir Klitschko, Tatjana Kiel, WeAreAllUkrainians, and the Joint Coordination Center for Search and Release — together, we are bringing Ukrainian children home.
Thanks to Save Ukraine, more than 1,200 children are already home.
