Four more children returned to Ukraine from the temporary occupied territories.
Last week, the Save Ukraine team brought back 4 more children from the occupied Kherson and Donetsk regions as part of the Bring Kids Back UA action plan.
These are children who were separated from their families by the war, and we are incredibly proud to be able to reunite them with their loved ones. And every time, it is such a touching moment, full of emotions.
One of the returned kids is Artem, who went to help his grandparents in early 2022, but the war separated him from his parents for two and a half years. During the occupation, the boy refused to attend a Russian school or get a Russian passport. All this time, at the risk of being exposed and punished, he connected to a Ukrainian online school through a local store.
Children like Artem are deliberately targeted by the Russian forces, who aim to break families and kidnap Ukrainian kids to erase their national identities. That is why Ukraine proceeds to rescue children from the temporarily occupied territories and prevents them from getting deported into the depths of Russia.
Every child deserves a happy childhood with his or her family.
We are grateful to our partners We Are All Ukrainians, Ron Wahid, Humanity Foundation for their support. We are stronger together.
