24 Ukrainian children and teenagers finally home
Another Save Ukraine rescue mission has been completed successfully — bringing 24 Ukrainian children and teenagers back from occupied territories. This mission was made possible through the support of Wolodymyr Klitschko, Tatjana Kiel from WeAreAllUkrainians, Humanity Charity Foundation, and the Joint Center for Search and Release Coordination.
Each story is a testament to both pain and resilience — proof that even in the darkest moments of war, Ukrainian families continue to find hope.
Among those rescued:
🔹 7-year-old Anastasia and 2-year-old Yaroslav, who lost their mother due to medical neglect by Russian doctors. The children risked being placed in a Russian orphanage and losing contact with their relatives forever. With Save Ukraine’s help, they have now been safely reunited with family.
🔹 10-year-old Karina, who was threatened by classmates to be “locked in a basement,” and her brothers 7-year-old Mark and 4-year-old Stefan, who were forced in kindergarten to sing “patriotic” songs and collect money “for the army.” Once their mother learned she could escape, she didn’t hesitate — she fled immediately with her children.
🔹 19-year-old Mykhailo, who was interrogated by Russian soldiers about his uncle — a Ukrainian veteran — and threatened with execution when he was just 17. After turning 18, he was forcibly conscripted into the Russian army.
🔹 18-year-old Veronika, who spent most of her life under occupation, studying in a Russian-controlled school. Yet she never lost her identity — the first thing she did after crossing back into Ukraine was tear up the Russian passport she had been forced to accept.
Now, all of them are finally safe. At our Hope and Healing Centers, rescued children receive psychological support, legal and housing assistance, and daily care — everything they need to recover and rebuild their sense of safety and trust.
Thanks to Save Ukraine, more than 1,000 children have already been brought home. But thousands more are still waiting.
Read and share their stories — so the world never forgets what Russia is doing to Ukrainian children, and so together we can bring every child home.
