10 more kids & teenagers rescued from occupation last week by Save Ukraine
Last week, the Save Ukraine team rescued 10 children and teenagers from russian occupation. This became possible thanks to the support of our partners within the framework of the President of Ukraine’s initiative Bring Kids Back UA. Each of them endured constant pressure, intimidation, and fear — but today, that nightmare is finally behind them.
Among those rescued:
🔹 19-year-old Dmytro, whose home was raided several times by armed occupiers. Russian soldiers smashed the windows and searched through all of the family’s personal belongings. On one occasion, the young man was detained in a store because of a screenshot of a map found on his phone.
🔹 20-year-old Maksym, who was threatened at gunpoint by russian soldiers right on the street. At college where he studied, occupiers pressured students into signing military contracts to operate combat drones, while young men in the streets were forcibly handed draft notices.
🔹 2-year-old Artem, who was born under occupation and grew up hearing nothing but the roar of military vehicles. His entire family lived in constant fear, knowing that occupiers could come at any moment with searches, detentions, or take someone “to the basement” because of a Ukrainian passport or so-called “suspicious behavior.”
These children, along with 7 others, are finally safe and recovering in our Hope and Healing Сenters. There, they receive comprehensive psychological support, assistance with documents, and comfortable housing to begin a new life in freedom.
But thousands of Ukrainian children are still trapped under occupation, where they are forced to forget their identity and are openly being prepared for war. And we will not stop.
🙏🏻 We are deeply grateful to our partners Wladimir Klitschko, Tatjana Kiel, WeAreAllUkrainians, and the Joint Center for Coordination of Search and Release — together, we are bringing Ukrainian children home.
Thanks to Save Ukraine, more than 1,300 children are already back home.
